In NHL 2024/25 wins for Penguins, Toronto, Boston and Ducks

At the end of last night’s NHL 2024/25 games, victories for the Penguins, Toronto, Boston and Ducks.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Pittsburgh Penguins (5-6 OT)

In an exciting match at the KeyBank Center, the Pittsburgh Penguins overcame the Buffalo Sabers in overtime, after a match full of twists and turns. The Sabers started off strong, with Take Thompson which kicked off the dance 00:43. Not even three minutes pass and Jordan Greenway double to 03:08. The Penguins respond with a power play goal by Bryan Rust al 11:01but the immediate response of Peterka brings the Sabers back to 3-1 at the 11:33. In the second period, Drew O’Connor segna in shorthanded al 09:12bringing the score to 3-2. The Sabers concede the equalizer thanks to Jesse Puljujarvi al 15:20. In the third period, Evgeni Malkin gives the Penguins the lead at 03:26ma Peterka draws again at 10:16. Ryan McLeod scores at 10:56but a goal by Sidney Crosby in power play al 19:14 forces the match into overtime. Crosby himself closes the game at 01:38 of OT, giving the Penguins the victory.

Los Angeles Kings vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (2-6)

I Toronto Maple Leafs hanno superato 6-2 i Los Angeles Kings. Bobby McMann opened the scoring at 06:54followed by a goal of Auston Matthews al 08:49. McMann also scores his second goal of the evening at 17:12While Morgan Rielly increases the lead to 4-0 at 07:56 of the second period. William Nylander scores on power play at 18:31bringing the score to 5-0. The Kings find the net with Alex Turcotte al 02:42 of the third period, but Kevin Fiala further shortens the distances to 09:03. In the end, John Tavares closes the score for the Leafs with a power play goal at 17:16setting the final score at 6-2.

Boston Bruins vs. Colorado Avalanche (5-3)

The Boston Bruins beat the Colorado Avalanche 5-3. Cole Koepke opens the markings to 13:46followed by a power play goal by Ross Colton al 15:07 which ties the match. Charlie Coyle puts the Bruins back in front with another power play at the 17:09. In the second period, David Pastrnak e Hampus Lindholm they extend the lead to 4-1. Kale Makar shortens for the Avalanche to 11:15 with a power play goal, but Mikko Rantanen scores the third goal for Colorado on the power play at 04:52 of the third period. However, John Beecher scores into an empty net at 17:59ending the match at 5-3 for the Bruins.

Utah Hockey Club vs. Ducks (4-5 OT)

In a thrilling match full of twists and turns, the Ducks triumphed over the Utah Hockey Club in overtime with a score of 5-4. Troy Terry gave Anaheim the lead at 4:40 of the first period, but Jack McBain tied it at 8:54. Barrett Hayton made it 2-1 for Utah with a power play goal at 1:25. However, in the second period, Robby Fabbri equalizes at 08:06. Pavel Mintyukov makes it 3-2 for the Ducks at 16:52. In the third period, Michael Kesselring made it 3-3 at 5:21, and then Clayton Keller gave Utah the lead again at 10:50. Mintyukov, however, equalized at 14:55. We go to overtime and Leo Carlsson makes it 5-4 for the Ducks.
