In NHL 2024/25, an evening full of emotions

Eleven Thursday night matches of NHL 2024/25 provided an evening full of emotions and goals for ice hockey fans. The Devils lead the standings with 10 points, followed by Calgary and Dallas with 7.

Kings 4 – Canadiens 1
The Los Angeles Kings beat the Montreal Canadiens. In the seventh Barron puts the Kings ahead but in the 18th Anderson equalizes. At the start of the second half Laferriere scores the 2-1. The result remains unchanged until the last three minutes of the match: Englund scores the third goal while 48 seconds from the final siren Kempe scores the poker into an empty net.

Devils 3 – Senators 1
The New Jersey Devils beat the Ottawa Senators. Erik Haula scored in the second minute of the second half and then in the sixth Bastian doubled his lead. In the 42nd minute Cotter finds the 3-0, but Tkachuk closes the gap in the final.

Golden Knights 3 – Lightning 4
Tampa beats Vegas 4 to 3. The first half begins with Brayden McNabb scoring for the Golden Knights at 5:26. Janis Moser equalized for the Lightning at 10:21. Pavel Dorofeyev puts Vegas back in front 15:20 with a power play goal, but Nikita Kucherov responds to the 19:47.

Ivan Barbashev segna per i Knights al 1:59 of the second period, but Hagel finds the 3-3 at 17:38 of the third period. Kucherov completed the brace and scored the winning goal 55 seconds before the final siren.

Canucks 3 – Panthers 2 (OT)
The Vancouver Canucks win in overtime against the Florida Panthers. Teddy Blueger opens the scoring for the Canucks at 11:42 of the first period, but 11 seconds later Jesper Boqvist equalized. Quinn Hughes scores to make it 2-1 for Vancouver at 6:30 of the second period, but Anton Lundell equalized on the power play at 19:00. JT Miller scores the decisive goal in the second minute of overtime.

Stars 2 – Capitals 3
The Washington Capitals beat the Dallas Stars with a comeback in the second period. Colin Blackwell made it 1-0 for Dallas shorthanded in the 12th minute of the first half, but Tom Wilson equalized 55 seconds into the second half. Dylan Strome puts the Capitals ahead at 6:15. but Jason Robertson responds for the Stars at 13:09. Taylor Raddysh al 17:19 signs the final 3 to 2 for Washington.

Sabres 4 – Blue Jackets 6
Columbus beats Baffalo 6 to 4. The game begins with the Blue Jackets taking the lead with Yegor Chinakhov on the power play at 5:12. Kirill Marchenko doubled the lead with 32 seconds left in the first period, bringing the score to 1 0-2.

In the second period, Ryan McLeod closes the gap for the Sabres 9:34. However, Adam Fantilli responds to the 12:18bringing the score to 3-1 for Columbus. Jiri Kulich brings Buffalo back to within one goal at the 17:29but Mathieu Olivier extended it again for the Blue Jackets 29 seconds later. Owen Power scores the 3-4 19:35 per i Sabres.

The third period begins with Zachary Aston-Reese scoring next 15 secondsextending Columbus’ lead to 5-3. Damon Severson finds the sixth goal for the Blue Jackets at 8:10. Finally, JJ Peterka scores the fourth goal for the Sabers at 17:51but it’s not enough to change the fate of the match.

Rangers 5 – Red Wings 2
The New York Rangers beat the Detroit Red Wings. The Rangers started strong, with Artemi Panarin scoring the first goal in the 8:30 of the first period. Panarin doubles again 15:39 with a power play goal, bringing the score to 2-0.

In the second period, Moritz Seider closes the gap for the Red Wings to 1:27. However, Vincent Trocheck made it 3-1 for New York at 8:46with another power play goal.

Panarin completes his hat-trick at 11:42increasing the advantage a 4-1. Victor Mancini scores the fifth goal for Rangers at 12:20assisted by Kakko and Chytil. In the third period, JT Compher finds the goal on the power play for Detroit at 16:41. It ends 5-2.

Islanders 0 – Blues 1 (OT)
The New York Islanders fall in overtime to the St. Louis Blues. Neighbors scores the decisive goal in a balanced and hard-fought match.

Oilers 4 – Predators 2
The Edmonton Oilers, led by McDavid and Kulak, defeat the Nashville Predators. Filip Forsberg leads the Predators to the 11:46 of the first period but Brett Kulak equalized less than seven minutes later.

Jeff Skinner gives the Oilers the lead at 10:50 of the second half. Jonathan Marchessault equalizes for Nashville at 17:45but Connor McDavid made it 3-2 for Edmonton less than a minute later. Kulak drops the poker with an empty net goal at 19:24.

Sharks 2 – Blackhawks 4
The Chicago Blackhawks get a big win over the San Jose Sharks. The match begins with the Blackhawks taking the lead with Taylor Hall after just over four minutes. With 49 seconds left in the first half, Tyler Bertuzzi doubled the lead on the power play.

43 seconds into the second half Nick Foligno made it 3-0 for Chicago on the power play. The Sharks finally manage to react to the 18:17when Tyler Toffoli reduces the score to 3-1. In the second minute of the third period, Jason Dickinson drops the poker but 33 seconds later Fabian Zetterlund finds the net of the 4-2.

Flyers 4 – Kraken 6
In a match full of goals, the Seattle Kraken overcome the Philadelphia Flyers. The match opened with a goal from Scott Laughton 4:21 of the first period that gives the Flyers the lead. However, the Kraken responded with Brandon Montour scoring 18:15 the draw. 43 seconds pass and Laughton gives Philadelphia the lead again.

In the second period, Jared McCann equalized on the power play 3:06. Eeli Tolvanen Porta Seattle Avanti al 14:57 and Jordan Eberle increases the lead to 17:44with Shane Wright scoring almost immediately after the 17:52bringing the score to 5-2.

Cam York closes gap for Flyers at 10:19 of the third period, while Jamie Drysdale scores the 5-4 on the power play at 12:32reopening the game. Oliver Bjorkstrand closes the books at 14:52setting the final score on 6-4 per in the Kraken.
