A quick check and the squatter is identified: this insect with the morphology of a cicada and which looks a bit like a moth is a Lycorma delicatula, or spotted lantern. And the instruction of the American authorities is clear: don’t let them escape, kill them! Because it is an invasive species, coming from China.
