During the first working day in New York, on the sidelines of the Future Conference, the President of the Republic of Senegal, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, met with several high-level people to discuss strategic issues.
Among the leaders present were HE Mr. Prithvirajsingh Roopun, President of the Republic of Mauritius, HE Mr. Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland, HE Mr. Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Mrs. Anna Bjerde, Managing Director of the Bank worldwide.
These hearings were an opportunity to address important topics, including bilateral and international cooperation, sustainable development, regional stability, as well as the strengthening of economic partnerships.
President Faye therefore highlighted Senegal’s commitment to contributing to the implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting fair and sustainable development.
The Head of State also had a meeting with Mrs. Mirjana Spoljaric, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, dealing with interesting issues related to humanity and international solidarity.
Along with these meetings, Bassirou Diomaye Faye participated in the opening of the Future Conference, an important event that is part of the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations.
Arriving in New York on Saturday afternoon, the Senegalese President continues to bring his country’s voice to the international stage, emphasizing the importance of exchanges and cooperation to meet today’s global challenges.
