in Nepal, the Isérois at the top

End of September, the excellence of mountaineering had made a stop in Grenoble, before flying in October for Nepal. In the ranks of this team, trained by Stéphane Benoist, two Isérois are present: Anouk Félix-Faure and Pierrick Fine. The latter climbed, with Stéphane, Pauline Champon, Pierrick Giffard, the northeast ridge of Nare Ri Shar, at 6,005 m above sea level, including 700 m of ridge. A first, since this satellite summit of Kangtega was previously untouched by any ascent.

One year after his ascent of the Sani Pakusk (6,952 m) in Pakistan with another Isérois (Symon Welfringer), which recently won the duo with a Piolet d’or, Pierrick Fine signs a new performance.

For his part, Anouk Felix-Faure tackled the southwest ridge of Cholatse (6,440 m). In the company of Gabriel Miloche, Louis Pachoud and Thomas Auvaro, the 25-year-old Grenobloise, a sixth-year medical student, reached the summit climbed for the first time in 1982 by this same ridge, by an American-British expedition.

Currently in Pangboche, at 3,900 m, the group, which constitutes the next generation of the French elite in mountaineering, will continue its expedition to Nepal, with other projects in the coming days.
