According to the investigation file, personnel from the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) were carrying out security work in Tuxpan, Nayarit, when they “saw three armed people aboard a vehicle, who, upon noticing the military presence, fled and entered the garage of a home.

“There were three other people carrying firearms at the scene and four more inside a parked vehicle. Four short firearms and one long firearm were seized, with four magazines and 27 live rounds.”

According to information provided by the FGR, “from the garage, the soldiers observed that there were weapons and drugs inside the property, so they left the place under custody and later, after obtaining a search warrant from the Control Judge, the Federal Ministerial Police located 756 kilos of marijuana dosed in 1,516 packages in the home.”

The detainees were found in possession of four firearms, seven magazines, six cartridges of different calibers, four cell phones, criminal objects with legends alluding to the CJNG, three vehicles and three motorcycles.

For these facts, the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) formulated charges for the aforementioned crimes, reason why the Control Judge declared the arrest legal and linked Ulises “F”, Alfonso “R”, Juan “A”, Manuel “C”, José “R”, Ramón “L”, Ángel “S”, Rajib “R”, Kelvin “R” and Marco “D” to the process; and imposed the precautionary measure of preventive detention.
