In Montpellier (Hérault), we begin the first deconfinement weekend. Journalist Carine Alazet is there live and shows the excitement surrounding these first days of freedom.

Near a shopping center in Montpellier (Hérault), we can see a lot of people. “Here, we have the impression of living on a Saturday before confinement. In the streets, in the shopping center where we are, most of the stores have reopened and customers are well present“, exposes the journalist Carine Alazet.”As we have seen, the crowd is increasing hour by hour. On a normal Saturday, most of the sales take place in the afternoon.“
There are still health constraints, with maximum gauges in the shops. Masks are always mandatory. But some customers are happy to be there to get back to work, do some shopping, or just take a walk. “I’ve been waiting for this for a little while, to be able to enjoy, to come back to shopping, it’s a little pleasure, plus the weather is nice“, says a customer.”It’s nice to be able to walk around, that’s what we didn’t do anymoreanother said.
