In memory of: Hanna Stenberg Trygg

Hanna leaves an abysmal void in many people and will forever be remembered for her thoughtfulness, humility and witty humor, with which she always spread joy and laughter.

Hanna grew up in Arboga and studied on the International Baccalaureate high school program at St. Eskil’s high school in Eskilstuna. She was a diligent student who later obtained a master’s degree in biomedicine at Uppsala University. The university city became Hanna’s and Elias’ fixed point and home. Hanna had a promising career as a life science consultant. She had her whole life ahead of her.

Only 31 years old Hanna was diagnosed with an unusual and malignant spread cancer. Despite the serious diagnosis and the uncertainty that the disease brought, she fought bravely for a year.

Hanna took care of the important things in life and in everyday life. In February, she married her beloved life partner Elias, after 17 years together. There were many of us who were deeply pleased that Hanna and Elias were able to complete a wedding trip to northern Italy during the summer and were able to create more beautiful memories together.

Hanna inspired his surroundings through his intelligence, curiosity and by daring to try new things. Hanna was a talented singer, although she humbly disliked flaunting her gifted voice. She challenged established patterns and herself, from starting new sports in adulthood to developing her painting. (Here she would object because she disliked highlighting her many talents and skills.)

Hanna wanted to live so badly, but was taken from this world far too young and far too quickly on November 8. Her memory lives on with us forever.
