Pursuant to the local ordinance created earlier by the municipality, the burning of litter and garden waste can be carried out on the first Thursday and Friday of the month in the Rácalmás area, except for December and January.
March will therefore be the month when, after forced winter storage, they can even get rid of green garden waste by burning it, the city’s municipality announced on its social media page.
And the date according to the calendar: March 7-8, 2024.
In case of bad weather: March 21-22, 2024. (The Friday following the previous date will be a holiday – March 15 – so please wait for the following Thursday and Friday.) Burning can be done between 2 – 10 p.m.
The leaders of the municipality ask the residents not to set fire to garden waste that has become wet due to the damp, highly humid weather in the morning, because it will only smoke. Only dry green waste catches fire, it can be burned.
