The real estate sector continued its activity in the Emirate of Sharjah during the month of March of the current year 2023, as the volume of real estate transactions in the emirate reached 1.7 billion dirhams.
The “Mortgage and Mortgage Movement Report” issued by the Real Estate Registration Department in Sharjah indicated that 3,386 transactions were recorded in various regions of the emirate during the past month, as the total volume of area traded in sales transactions in the emirate reached more than 5.1 million square feet.
The statistics of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department revealed that the total number of transactions executed during the month of March reached 3,386 transactions, as the number of sale transactions reached 595, or 17.6% of the total number of transactions, and the number of mortgage transactions reached 319, or 9.4%, with a total value of $838.6 million. dirhams, while the number of other disposal transactions reached 2,472 transactions, representing 73% of the total number of transactions.
Sales transactions in 88 regions
The sale transactions took place in 88 areas distributed over the various cities and regions of the Basim Emirate, and these properties included residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural lands.
With regard to the type of real estate traded, 157 vacant lands were traded, while the built-up land transactions amounted to 207 transactions, while the number of sub-tower transactions amounted to 231 transactions out of the total transactions.
Muwailih Commercial is one of the highest traffic areas in the emirate
The report showed that Muwaileh commercial area topped the list of areas with the highest number of sales transactions in the city of Sharjah with 116 transactions, followed by Mezaira and Al Khan areas with 68 transactions each, then Al Raqiba area with 38 transactions.
As for the most active areas in terms of cash trading volume, the Muwailih commercial area topped with a turnover of 140.8 million dirhams, followed by Al Saja’a Industrial area with a turnover of 75.2 million dirhams, then Al Khan area with 69.8 million dirhams, then Al Nahda area with 52.4 million dirhams.
The trades executed in the central region focused on the Al Qasimia city with 3 transactions, while the highest area in cash trading volume was in the Blida region, with a trading volume of 6.4 million dirhams.
In Khor Fakkan, the East region came as the highest region with 3 transactions, while the Al Mudaifi region came as the highest region with a volume of 3.7 million dirhams.
As for the city of Kalba, Kalba and Al Khuwair industrial areas witnessed 3 sale transactions each, while Al Baraha was the highest region in terms of trading volume, which reached 3 million dirhams.
