It is one of the most legendary dance films in the world – with Dirty Dancing, of course. Footloose, released in the 80s, is The film dance par excellence (but especially the one who launched Kevin Bacon’s career). And to accompany it, there was the eponymous title, sung by Kenny Loggins. If the film was a phenomenal success, so was the soundtrack – note that the song Footloose was placed at the top of the charts in the United States, in Canada but also in New Zealand.

And that’s not all ! The beautiful story continues, outside the charts : The song Footloose (as well as Kenny Loggins) are nominated several times at the Grammy Awards in 1985 but also at the Golden Globes and the Oscars. Over 30 years later, the effect is still the same: Footloose and his communicative good humor make us want to dance as if no one is watching.
