Thus, in Lithuania, infection with this virus was detected in a total of 2635 people.
Of the 41 newly detected cases, nine occurred abroad. 25 cases are related to certain foci in Kaunas – among the employees of three companies and in the beauty salon, as well as in Vilnius – among the employees and choir of one company. In three cases, the infection occurred through contact with infected family members. In four cases, it is not yet known where the infection occurred.
1766 people confirmed recovery.
2443 analyzes were performed last day, but a total of 607 132 analyzes were performed in Lithuania.
84 people died of the disease caused by the Covid-19 virus in Lithuania, but another 15 of those infected with the virus had a different cause of death. The disease did not require new victims last day.
In Estonia, seven people were found infected with the new coronavir virus last day, the Health Department said on Sunday. As a result, the number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 2272.
Of the seven newly discovered cases, five are related to two foci in Austrumviru County – the oil shale mine “Estonia” and the Jehvi bar “Kelder”. In addition, the two cases are linked because mine workers have visited the bar. In another case in Tartu County, the infection occurred through contact with a previously infected person who has been identified, but in another case in Tallinn, it is not clear where the infection occurred.
No deaths from the new coronavirus disease Covid-19 were reported in Estonia last day. A total of 63 people died of the disease in Estonia.
A total of 140,666 tests have been performed in Estonia to detect infection with the new coronavirus. 461 analyzes were performed on Saturday.
