Heavy pain for the serial burglar… Monday June 7, 2021, the court of Little sentenced a sexagenarian to sept years in prison for 26 burglaries committed in the Lille metropolitan area since December 2020. The individual was well targeting his victims.

In December 2020, the Lille police noted an increase in burglaries in their constituency, but also in the gendarmerie zone. What to suspect one or more repeat offenders.
The investigators then carry out reconciliations and the investigations make it possible to identify a suspect to whom at least twenty thefts can be blamed.
This suspect, a 61-year-old man, was arrested on April 7, 2021 in a shopping center in the metropolis. In all, 26 burglaries are attributed to him.
Shops, sports grounds and houses of deceased persons
According to a judicial source, equipped with his crowbar, the individual entered shops, sports grounds… and the homes of recently deceased people!
Two months after his arrest, the suspect is tried by the Lille court. He receives a heavy sentence (still subject to appeal) of seven years in prison.
