A false appearance of calm reigned in the Lille-Flandres station on Monday March 8. Traffic at the Nord-Pas-de-Calais railway junction was very limited. And for good reason: 72% of control officers were on strike, or nearly 150 strikers out of around 200 who had to work.
The strikers gathered in GA each wrote down the demands they wanted to see appear: massive hiring, better working conditions, salary increases… So many unifying demands, common to all the other categories of railway workers. It will take new days, to meet more numerous, more powerful.
