In Latvia, Covid-19 reveals another 367 people – the largest number of new cases; 3 people have died / Article / LSM.lv

Another 367 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 infection in Latvia during the day, three people died, according to the information of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).

7564 Covid-19 examinations were performed last day, 367 new infections were registered, which is the largest number of cases registered in one day so far. The proportion of positive cases against the tested ones reached 4.9%.

Three people died – two were in the age group of 70 to 75 years, and one person – in the age group of 90 to 95 years.

In Latvia, a total of 7,119 persons fell ill and 1,444 recovered.

Another 38 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized.

A total of 244 patients are treated in hospitals – 234 with a moderate course of the disease, 10 with a severe course of the disease.

A total of 519 patients were discharged from the hospital.

During the Covid-19 outbreak in the spring, an emergency situation was declared in Latvia to control the new coronavirus.
