During its general assembly this Thursday, the Association for the voluntary blood donation (ADSB) of Larmor-Plage drew up the balance sheet of a 2020 financial year disrupted by the covid-19 pandemic. The 28 active volunteers had to adapt to big changes, such as setting up appointments for donors and organizing social distancing in blood collection rooms. “In 2020, we welcomed 617 donors. This is 7% less than in 2019, but this drop is directly linked to the limitation in the number of meeting slots. Donors have been refused, but our association was able to meet the expectations of the French Blood Establishment (EFS), ”says Soizic Merrien, the president. The ADSB will organize two collections this summer.
