In the city of Krivoy Rog on Wednesday evening, December 1, a minibus hit a 33-year-old woman and her five-year-old son. From the impact, pedestrians were thrown under the wheels of a truck. As a result, the mother died on the spot, the child was hospitalized, informed in the city police.
The accident happened about 17 hours on the street Dnepropetrovskoe Shosse.
“The driver of the GAZ car hit two pedestrians who were standing in the area of the dividing strip.
As indicated, the 45-year-old bus driver fled from the scene of the accident, but law enforcement officers have already tracked him down and detained him.
A criminal case was opened on the fact of violation of road safety rules (part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code).
In turn, the local Telegram channel Svoi.Kryvyi Rih reports that pedestrians were crossing the road in the wrong place, and the minibus was driving without the headlights on. The driver of the latter admitted that he tried to overtake the truck and did not see people.
The injured boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He was diagnosed with a closed head injury, concussion, open fracture of his right leg and knee.
