In Korea, Apple could soon sell its iPhones in LG stores

With LG withdrawing from the mobile market, Apple would like to use LG stores in South Korea to sell its iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

LG is one of those electronics giants that has lost the fight in the mobile market. The brand recently announced that it is leaving this industry. And that leaves a number of opportunities for the players who are still well established. Especially at Apple. In South Korea, the apple brand could use the LG Store to sell their iPhones.

Now that LG has decided to leave the mobile market

While Apple and LG are partners in some aspects, they are also competitors. Both brands create products in the same categories, whether they are smartphones or laptops. That being said, not long ago LG was announcing its withdrawal from the smartphone market and Apple seemed to be eyeing some real estate, so to speak.

Apple would like to sell its iPhones in LG stores in South Korea

According to an article from Business Korea, Apple and LG are in talks for the Cupertino company to use certain LG sales areas to sell its iPhone, iPad and other Apple Watch in South Korea. For those who do not know, LG has several stores in South Korea, establishments called LG Best Shops.

The report claims that the two giants have started these talks since LG’s decision to stop selling phones. Insofar as nothing has yet been officially decided, it is possible that this trade agreement will be done in different ways. For example, Apple could rent part of the store and place its own products and employees there. It is also possible that employees of LG stores could work for Apple.

The Business Korea report also states that Apple would also like to sell its MacBooks in these stores, as it does in its Apple Stores, but as LG is still present in the laptop market, this point remains delicate.
