Energy engineers rate the state of Kiev’s energy system as critical. YASNO DTEK reported that he managed to redistribute the load on the networks so that all districts of the city were approximately equal in terms of energy supply.
“Now Obolon, Kurenevka and Borshchagovka are in about the same condition as the rest of the city,” wrote Sergey Kovalenko, CEO of the energy company on Facebook (the social network belongs to Meta, which is recognized as an extremist and banned in the Russian Federation ). He asked consumers to “be careful in their use of the technology and not plug everything in at once.”
The head of the Energy, Housing and Communal Services Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Gerus, also called the plight of energy supply in the capital. However, according to him, it is stabilizing. Thus, there are no consumers in the city who would be without electricity for several days. “The situation in Kyiv and the region is improving and is close to the return of planned closure programmes,” the deputy said in a statement published by the Verkhovna Rada.
Since October 10, Russia has been inflicting massive attacks on Ukraine. The attacks began after the Crimean bridge was blown up. The Ministry of Defense says the targets are, among other things, energy plants.
