In Kiev, drunk brothers beat a homeless man to death

The attackers are brothers, one is 24, the other is 27

Two brothers, while intoxicated, quarreled with a homeless man, beat him and left him on the street. They face up to 10 years in prison.

Passers-by reported to the police that a man with no signs of life was lying on Yamskaya Street in the Goloseevsky district of the capital. The suspects in the crime were detained for several hours, informs press service of the Kiev police.

“It turned out that the victim lived near the scene of the incident, where he made temporary housing for himself. On the eve of the incident between the victim and his acquaintances, who were intoxicated, there was a conflict and a fight. The men beat the homeless man, left him and ran away,” said the head of the investigation of the Goloseevsky police department Maxim Bondarenko.

The suspects in the crime were brothers, who had no previous convictions, natives of Donetsk region, born in 1997 and 1994.

Men were informed of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The defendants face seven to 10 years in prison.
