In Kiev, a man was stabbed to death in the middle of the street – what happened

On Saturday, December 25, in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kiev, a bystander intervened in a fight between a married couple and tried to help a woman. The male reprimanded the attacker to stop beating the woman, for which he was stabbed in the chest.

Investigators started criminal proceedings and informed the defendant about the suspicion. He faces life imprisonment. This was reported in press service of the Kiev police (Scroll to the bottom of the page to watch the video).

The incident took place at a public transport stop on Bulgakov Street. Bystanders who saw the body of a man with stab wounds called the police.

According to the head of the Svyatoshinsky police department Pyotr Tokar, having arrived at the indicated address, the law enforcement officers examined the scene, identified witnesses and eyewitnesses to the incident, and also worked on video from surveillance cameras.

Less than an hour later, law enforcement officers found the intruder. It turned out to be previously convicted Kievite born in 1992… He was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, as well as withdrew the probable weapon of murder – a kitchen knife.

The investigation department of the Svyatoshinsky police department has begun criminal proceedings under clause 7, part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code. In the near future, the court will choose a preventive measure for the attacker. The sanction of the article provides up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.

Recall in Kryvyi Rih there was a terrible murder. In one of the high-rise buildings, a man who turned out to be the ex-husband of a local resident stabbed her new lover to death.
