In Kiev, police officers detained a drunk man with two snakes around the neck.
An aggressive Kievite walked around the city and molested passers-by, reported press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the photo).
The snakes acted restlessly due to the cold, which most likely forced the man to put them on the roof of someone else’s car. They noticed him on Klavdievskaya Street and called the police.
“The citizen had signs of alcoholic intoxication, refused to give his name to the patrolman and behaved very aggressively. He also did not say where he got the snakes, so the patrolmen detained the man and took him to the regional department,” the message says.
The patrol also contacted the animal rights organization UAnimals to inspect the snakes and help them find temporary shelter.
The police drew up materials on the offender under Article 89 (Cruelty to animals) and Article 178 (Appearance in public places while drunk) of the KUpAP.
