In Kharkov, five fighting dogs of the Mastiff breed bitten an elderly mistress. Her body was found in the yard by a neighbor.
About it reported in the National Police.
The tragedy took place on October 16 at about 17:00. A neighbor of the deceased told the cops that she had found the body of an 81-year-old woman who had been bitten by dogs. Policemen and investigators drove to the address.
The deceased and her daughter were kept in the household by 5 dogs of the fighting breed. On the Web they write that these were mastiff dogs.
The data on the incident were entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine marked “accident”.
What if you are attacked by a dog?
- Arm yourself (bag, umbrella, keys, stick, stones, bottle) – everything that is with you and at hand. It is possible that the dog will retreat even at this stage.
- Don’t squeal in high notes Drive the dog away loudly and confidently.
- You should never attack first. Begin to retreat calmly and slowly. Never do not turn your back on the dog.
- If the dog still rushed – throw the picked up sand in her eyes or stab in the nose or eyes.
- If you didn’t manage to do this, try grab the dog by the hind legs and how to apply against the wall or asphalt.
- If you cannot fight the dog, cover your neck with your hands. The dog will most likely attack the arms, legs and neck, but only a bite in the neck can be fatal.
