In just 8 days, an Egyptian doctor makes a breakthrough in treating skin cancer.. Video

The Egyptians still fascinate the world, but this time in the treatment of skin cancer, Dr. Khaled Abdel Salam Al-Sayyad, Assistant Professor and Consultant of Radiotherapy and Oncology at the University of Münster in Germany, has made a huge leap in the treatment of skin cancer.

Al-Sayyad, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, succeeded in reducing the doses of radiotherapy, which used to reach 70 doses for the patient over a period of 7 weeks, to only 8 doses within only 8 days, which led to a significant reduction in the side effects of radiotherapy than before.

“Al-Sayyad” said during an intervention on the “Ninth” program on the first channel of the Egyptian TV that reducing the number of doses to only eight proved a great success and stressed the importance of adding vitamin A within the treatment protocol because the results proved that it helps to increase the recovery rate three times.

“Skin lymphoma” is a rare skin disease that affects about 10 people out of every million citizens and appears in the form of red or black spots on the human body badly, as it may appear with or without swelling and causes skin and psychological pain in addition to ulcers and itching, and therefore the cure rate is weak, especially if it worsens The disease covered more than 10% of the patient’s skin, and it is expected that what Al-Sayyad reached will make a qualitative leap in the treatment of these patients.
