Airline tickets and hotels have become more expensive – by 20-30%
As for food, peaches, apricots and potatoes have become cheaper by about 10%
Since for April, May and June 2024 the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported monthly deflation, today it was announced that in July we are back in the zone of inflation with a 0.8% increase in the price of basic goods and services compared to June.
Annual inflation for July 2024 compared to July 2023 is 2.4%. Year-to-date inflation (July 2024 vs. December 2023) is 1.1%, and average annual inflation for the period August 2023 – July 2024 vs. August 2022 – July 2023 is 4.1%.
As of June this year in July, the highest increase in prices was recorded for “Entertainment and culture” – by 8.7% and “Restaurants and hotels” – by 3.9%. “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” increased by only 0.1%.
The prices of “Clothing and shoes” are lower – a decrease of 3.0% and “Messages” – by 0.6%.
As for food, the price of leafy vegetables – by 5.8%, cream – by 4.1%, cucumbers – by 3.9%, coffee – by 2.3%, fruit juices – by 2.0%, permanent sausages – by 1.7% and others was noted.

11.3%, potatoes – with 9.8%, other fresh vegetables (green beans, zucchini and
eggplant) – with 7.1%, root vegetables (carrots and beets) – with 6.0%,
ripe onion – by 5.9%, ice cream – by 2.9%, cabbage – by 2.8%, pepper – by 2.7% and others.
In the groups of non-food goods and services, an increase was registered in international flights – by 29.0%, short-term accommodation services by 20.4%, package services for holidays and tourist trips – by 15.8%, cosmetic products – by 2.1%, electricity – by 1.8% and others.
A decrease was registered in thermal energy for water heating – by 6.9%, pellets – by 5.9%, clothing – by 3.2%, shoes – by 2.9%, bicycles – by 2.4%, central gas supply – by 1.6% and others.
Medicinal products have increased in price by 0.5%.
Medical and dental services increased by 0.8% and 0.2%, respectively.
