With the end of the emergency situation on June 10 and the resumption of operations of a large number of tourist accommodation establishments, the number of guests continued to increase rapidly in July – compared to June, it has more than doubled, informs the CSB Communication Department.
In July 2020, compared to July of the previous year, the number of Latvians served in tourist accommodation has increased by 1.9%, reaching 133.1 thousand. The number of nights spent by local residents was 236 thousand, 4.9% less.

In July, 96.8% of respondents submitted a report on the operation of tourist accommodation, of which 5.5% of respondents (3% in July 2019) answered that they did not carry out the activity, citing downtime, home improvement works or repairs as the reason.
