In Guingamp, a person in police custody after a house fire

Placed against the stone facade of 33, rue du Docteur-Corson, a partly charred door and some rubbish bear witness to the fire which broke out there during the night from Friday to Saturday, shortly before 10 p.m., in Guingamp. “I saw smoke coming from upstairs, the firefighters quickly arrived,” says this local resident, witness to the important rescue system deployed in this narrow lane near the Château des Salles. After the evacuation of the five roommates, the fire was brought under control using a water hose. Two ton pump vans, a rescue and victim assistance vehicle, a light rescue vehicle and a combined movement swivel ladder were mobilized.

A person arrested

An upstairs bedroom, whose windows remained wide open this Saturday afternoon, was mainly damaged. Although no casualties have been reported, the cause of the fire appears to be intentional. In any case, this is the preferred route. According to information collected by Ouest-France, a person was in fact arrested by the gendarmes later in the evening and placed in police custody. The five residents of this house were relocated to their families.
