On Thursday February 9, 2023, students enrolled in the “Opening to the professional world” option at Sainte-Marie College, in Guilers, visited the premises of Jampi, a famous ice cream company located a few minutes from the establishment.
They were welcomed there by the boss Jean Lallemand, who is himself a former student of Sainte-Marie (he obtained his patent 15 years ago). The testimony of this young entrepreneur fascinated the college students.
“The “Opening up to the professional world” option was launched at the start of the school year in order to allow voluntary students to work on their orientation over their last two years of college, with several internships from the 4th year”, explains Logann Vince, the director.
At Jampi, they discovered a century-old company and all the trades that make it up (production of ice cream, desserts, accounting, delivery, sales, etc.). It was the first step of a partnership with this company. In the coming months, the students will also deepen their knowledge by producing a report on the glacier.
