The number of new Kovid-19 cases of patients connected to artificial ventilation devices, as well as tests performed in Greece, has increased, according to today’s data from the National Public Health Organization, writes Standard News bg.
After almost four months, more than 4,000 new cases were registered for the first time – 4,181 cases, 19 people died and 219 patients were on artificial ventilation in the intensive care units of Greek hospitals.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 4,000 newly infected people have been registered in the country only three times during the second wave and while the country was in full quarantine.
A record number of new cases, a total of 4,340 were registered on March 30, a week later 4,309 cases were registered, and on April 13 this year, more than 4,000 newly infected were last registered, FOCUS News Agency reported.
According to today’s data, there are a large number of tests performed, a total of 102,275, of which 84,397 are fast and the rest are PCR. Of the new cases, 1,238 are in the Attica region, the wider Athens region, 710 on the island of Crete and 337 in Thessaloniki.
Due to the growing number of newly infected people in the city of Heraklion in Crete, from 01:00 to 06:00 tomorrow morning a curfew will be imposed and a ban on music will be introduced in restaurants throughout the day, and the measures will be in force until next Tuesday .
