In God’s Hand: A Unique Art and Music Event at the Wadden Sea Visitor Center

Release date: 06/09/2023

From the 14. August until 23. October 2023 the Glasarke 3 is “anchored” at the Wadden Sea Visitor Center in Sahlenburg.

In the accompanying program to this art object, Pastor Manuela A. Heise from the Johanneskirche Sahlenburg together with the circle for early music of the St. Gertrude parish Döse under the direction of Eberhard Bornemann am Wednesday, September 13 at 7 p.m present a mixture of biblical texts and music.

Pastor Heise says: “The ark is an ancient biblical symbol. She speaks of the protective love of God. Maybe we need them especially in our time.” Supported by the idea that God’s Word, nature, his creation and music can be wonderfully complemented and combined, the protection of nature, which is also the basis of the Wadden Sea Visitor Center, should to be expressed. The Sahlenburg theologian adds: “Creation in its fragility needs our care and God’s protective hand!” This Christian thought will not be alien to many friends of the Sahlenburg natural landscape and many visitors to the WattBz.

Everyone is cordially invited to the event “In God’s Hand” in front of an impressive backdrop in the exhibition of the Wadden Sea Visitor Center. Entry costs 3 euros.

In the accompanying program Zur Glasarche, Pastor Manuela A.
