The Schwerzbachstrasse and the Grundstrasse, in the section between the Industriestrasse junction and the Rüteli/Tschachen junction, no longer meet current requirements. In particular, crossing is difficult due to the small width of the road. The two roads are therefore intended for expansion.

The carriageway on Schwerzbachstrasse will be expanded by 1.5 meters (new carriageway width then 6.5 metres) over a length of 350 meters and that of Grundstrasse also by 1.5 meters (new carriageway width then 5.5 metres) over a length of 500 meters meters widened.

A separate footpath and cycle path will also be created on Schwerzbachstrasse to connect the existing footpath and cycle path along Schwerzbachstrasse from the Industriestrasse junction with the existing cycle path along Grossteilerstrasse.

The maximum permissible speed on Schwerzbachstrasse and Grundstrasse remains unchanged at 60 kilometers per hour. After the municipal council had answered questions from individual voters, in particular regarding the planned green strip and the reduction of cultivated land, the municipal assembly approved the loan of CHF 1,100,000 required for the renovation and widening of Schwerzbachstrasse and Grundstrasse.
