The incident took place on Friday, October 29th. A man in a car drove into a group of junior schoolchildren on the street – one girl of eight died, two more children of seven and eight were seriously injured. On Saturday, the driver was taken to a psychiatric clinic.

“The driver, who hit a group of children in Northern Hesse on Friday, apparently did it on purpose. As it became known on Monday, the Kassel prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into the murder,” the newspaper writes.
