Sosok.ID – Mayor Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini, string motivational sentences in the hands of its citizens.
Risma said parting words because soon her term of office would end.
To the citizens Surabaya, Risma said that every child of the nation can achieve success.
It doesn’t matter even if he was born from a lower middle class family.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I want to say that not until one year I will finish being mayor.”
“I am February (finished serving), I beg you to say goodbye, ladies and gentlemen,” Risma said as quoted from Kompas.com on Tuesday (18/8/2020).
Risma is known to have said this when inaugurating a sports field at Tambak Asri, Surabaya, East Java, on Sunday (16/8/2020).
Apart from saying goodbye, Risma also motivated Surabaya children.
In his message, Risma asked the Surabaya children to have a strong mentality and never give up.
According to him, his physical infrastructure development will be meaningless if it is not accompanied by human quality.
Therefore, before the end of his tenure as mayor, Risma continues to strive to build motivation for its citizens.
“My goal is to build motivation because it is useless for me to build a good Surabaya, but the people do not get anything, right? Eman (unfortunately),” said Risma.

Risma wanted Surabaya residents to continue to struggle, move, and not become spectators in their own city.
To the Surabaya children, Risma advised them that they could fight until they were successful.
“You all have the right to be successful and have the right to succeed. Now, don’t tell me anymore that I am just a pedicab driver and so on,” said Risma.
“Even though his son is a pedicab driver, you can still succeed, as long as you work hard.”
“Nothing is impossible with God, as long as you want,” he said.
Furthermore, Risma said that she had received an offer to occupy a ministerial position in the Joko Widodo-Ma’ruf Amin’s Cabinet.
However, Risma admitted that she refused the offer because it was for the sake of the people of Surabaya. Because of that, he preferred to stay as Mayor.
“I want to convey, why do I still stay as mayor. Because, my goal (wants) the citizens of Surabaya to be more prosperous,” said Risma.
Now, only a few months away, Risma took office. He also said goodbye and advised his citizens not to waste time.
“So, ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for learning from the Al Quran, until there is a letter Al ‘Asr, for the sake of time,” said Risma.
“Because at that time it was a gift from God that will never be repeated. So don’t waste time.”
