There was a campaign of hatred against Pat on the Internet after showing cartoons of the Muslim prophet Muhammad to his students in a class discussion on freedom of expression.
The 18-year-old Chechen immigrant beheaded the teacher. The assassination itself caused shock in French society, but the president Emanuels makrons promised to take a firm stand against Islamic radicals.
In a message on social networks on Monday, Makron encouraged young people to discuss the events among themselves. “The plan of terrorism is to create hatred, to put us against each other, to create fear,” the president explained. “Our answer is love, respect and freedom.”
At the memorial service, the French Prime Minister Jean-Claude Cox and the Minister of Education Jean Michel Blanker joined the students at the same school. The commemoration takes place a few days after another Islamist terrorist attack in Nice, in the south of France, where an immigrant from Tunisia killed three people in the church.
French officials are currently working on a bill to quell, as Macron explains, Islamist separatism, among other things, by opposing homeschooling and phasing out imams trained abroad.
Meanwhile, outrage over French President Emanuel Macron’s reaction to the assassination of teacher Samuel Pati is spreading throughout the Muslim world.
Germany Police have launched an investigation into a man in a mask resembling the face of French President Emanuel Macron being led on a leash through the streets of Berlin. The video, distributed on social media, shows another man in a traditional Arab costume portraying a man in a Macron mask. Police said they arrested a person who had taken part in the “show” depicting the “Macron” humiliator in central Berlin on Saturday. The police are investigating whether a crime has been committed in this case.
