In February, there were 207 cases of dengue fever in Depok

The Health Office said that dengue cases were evenly distributed in a number of areas in Depok City

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DEPOK — Depok City Health Service (Dinkes) noted that during February 2022 there were 207 cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Meanwhile, in January 2022 there were 394 cases of dengue fever.

“Data recorded that there were 207 cases of dengue fever during February 2022. Currently, dengue cases are evenly distributed in a number of areas in Depok City,” said Head of Depok City Health Office, Mary Liziawati at Depok City Hall, Wednesday (2/3/2022).

According to Mary, his party continues to make various efforts to deal with the dengue disease namely strengthening awareness and surveillance in the health sector.

“Especially in the prevention and control of DHF. We are strengthening it through the Head of the Public Health Section at the sub-district and kelurahan levels,” he explained.

Mary continued, her party also reminded cadres through the local health center to be more active, namely the Periodic Lartic Monitoring (PJB) and One Jumantik One House Movement (G1R1Ji).

“Then, health service facilities (fasyankes) also carry out treatment for suspected DHF patients. The next step is to handle patients appropriately. Also instruct puskesmas and hospitals to treat DHF patients according to their authority and standard operating procedures (SOPs),” he explained.

Mary appealed to the public to immediately report to the RT-RW if there were DHF sufferers. Then, the RT-RW must immediately report to the Puskesmas so that it can be handled immediately. “Don’t forget to report if a family member is affected by dengue, and continue to promote the Eradication of Mosquito Nests (PSN) in their respective homes,” he urged.

Mary asked residents to avoid dengue fever, maintain a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) and maintain a proper diet, exercise and rest. “Keep the family environment and community environment clean,” he said.
