In fact, Windows 11 also runs on a Pentium 4 processor

Skipped something over Microsoft, so with strict requirements here or there, old Pentium 4 CPUs will run on Windows 11.

In recent months, it has caused great outrage that Microsoft has banned Windows 11 from running on a large number of processors. Then came confusing explanations, which didn’t help the situation.

According to official support documents, Windows 11 requires at least a 2-core, 1 GHz processor. Unfortunately, however, most of the seventh-generation Intel Core CPUs were excluded, as were the first-generation AMD Ryzen chips.

However, an official tool called PC Health Check shows otherwise. Microsoft says an Intel Pentium 661 is a supported chip, despite talking about a 2006 chip with a single core. Experts say Microsoft forgot to add these old CPUs to the blacklist, and PC Health Check doesn’t print good data either. Someone was so enthusiastic that he even installed Windows 11 on the Pentium 4,661. Even the updates work, and after that, many people find the compatibility of Windows 11 ridiculous.
