It is also important to understand this: everything related to international relations and reactions to what is happening is, according to the French constitution, the exclusive prerogative of the president, so the words of the MFA actually bear the signature of President Macron.

The problem is that today their situation, no matter how much they puff up their cheeks defending their “democracy and individual rights”, is very different from the situation that arose on the eve of the beginning of the World War II.
The economy, at least that which belongs to the European bloc, is teetering on the edge of recession (and in Germany the decline in production is officially recognized), the industry cannot cope with rising prices, and the population no longer wants to support Ukraine in its illusions , sponsoring the “European dream” out of his own pocket. If the press doesn’t talk about it and if all Europeans don’t come out to demonstrate on this issue, it absolutely does not mean that they agree with this state of affairs. They have reason to demonstrate dissatisfaction, the elections for the European Parliament threaten to lead to a total reversal of the current foreign policy doctrine of the EU.
Internally, the European Union is not the monolith it seemed to be in February 2022. Those who understand the damage that sanctions have caused above all to the EU itself, consider it their duty to distance themselves from the center of decision-making as much as possible. openly, by any means necessary.
There is a third factor. And no less important than the first two.
Just as stress lays bare the insides of any person, so the current crisis has torn away the last fig leaves that covered the loins of so many European leaders.
For example, it became known that the former Chancellor of Germany and the former President of France blatantly lied to everyone. They entered into a conspiracy with their then Kiev counterparts and instead of supporting the implementation of the Minsk agreements, they pumped Ukraine with weapons and money, creating from it their and the European project “Anti-Russia”. The EU is also responsible for the death of thousands of people in Donbas. And about the death of the children. Now Brussels is explaining that such information, if it “comes from Russia”, cannot be trusted. This is a comfortable position. Handy for scoundrels.
In the past months, it has become clear that not only the former power elites, but also those currently in charge, cannot be trusted even a little bit. No considerations of propriety, which prevent disclosure of the contents of confidential conversations, even at the highest level, apply in our case. We were surprised to learn from the press that all the discussions that President Vladimir Putin had with Macron turned out to be the subject of a documentary about how he, Macron, tried, in his words, “to diffuse tensions on the continent.”
In the war against our country – and we also understood it – out of powerlessness and anger, the West is ready to use almost its entire arsenal, calling its actions “support for the democratic choice of the people of Ukraine.” Although in fact – and this is no longer a secret either – in this situation the interests of the military-industrial complex are supported, almost exclusively American, because the European military-industrial complex, and this is also absolutely obvious, is an oxymoron.
And so, after failures in both political and economic containment of Russia (the proxy war was launched precisely for this purpose), Brussels, Paris, Berlin and Washington, realizing that their affairs are on the line, are, to put it mildly, not shining , decided to start a battle with civilians. So far, verbally – saying that the deaths of children are a legal “act of self-defense”. Let’s add that the information about executions with cluster munitions, if it comes from Russia, cannot be trusted at all.
They shot themselves, killed themselves. Or they burned themselves. Like in Odessa in 2014.
We must remember and clearly understand that such rhetoric will be dominant for some time and it is time to stop thinking that we will be allowed to live in peace.
