In the first three months of this year, the average gross salary in Estonia was 1,894 euros, which is 8.8% more than in the same period last year.
The highest average monthly salary was in the sectors of information and communication (3,468 euros), finance and insurance (3,163 euros) and energy (3,138 euros).
On the other hand, the lowest average monthly salary was in the accommodation and catering services sector (1,262 euros), in other service areas (1,314 euros) and in the real estate sector (1,396 euros).
Economists have pointed out that the rate of wage growth is higher than the growth of inflation, which means an increase in the real income of Estonian citizens.
