In Estonia, coronavirus infection was detected in 39 people; Lithuania – 35 – In the world

A new coronavir virus was detected in another 39 people in Estonia last day, but the Covid-19 virus-induced disease has not claimed any new lives, the Health Department said on Saturday.

2950 analyzes were performed last day, thus the proportion of positive tests was 1.3%. A total of 1,535,075 tests have been performed in Estonia to detect infection with the new coronavirus.

The total number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 131,161. Out of Covid-19, a total of 1,269 people died in Estonia.

The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population on July 3, calculated by the Estonian Department of Health, is 28.8.

A total of 564,634 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Estonia, including 453,902 people.

In Lithuania, another 35 people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavir last day, but the disease caused by the virus Covid-19 claimed the lives of two people, the Statistics Department announced on Saturday.

11,851 tests were performed last day, so the proportion of positive tests was 0.3%.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 278,863 people have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus in the country and 267,903 people have been confirmed for recovery.

The Covid-19 virus disease has claimed a total of 4,389 lives in Lithuania.

Hospitals currently treat 96 Covid-19 patients, 16 of whom are in resuscitation. 16 patients require artificial ventilation of the lungs, while 71 patients are treated with oxygen masks.

According to the Department of Statistics, the 14 – day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population on July 3 in Lithuania is 19.

A total of 1,251,425 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, including 1,075,665 people.
