In Estonia, 274 people were diagnosed with the new coronavir last day, as well as one new death from the virus-related disease Covid-19, the Health Department said on Wednesday.
As a result, the number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 8,304, but recovery has been confirmed for 3,848 people.
A total of 85 people died of the Covid-19 virus disease in Estonia.
5539 analyzes were performed in the previous day, thus 4.9% of tests were positive. A total of 415,268 tests have been performed in Estonia to detect infection with the new coronavirus.
Hospitals currently treat 99 Covid-19 patients, including 11 in intensive care. Six of them require artificial ventilation of the lungs. The number of hospitalized Covid-19 patients increased by 14 last day.
According to the Estonian Department of Health, the 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population on November 18 in Estonia is 223.33. According to the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), this figure is 219.5.
