In England, nightclubs will be open to everyone – both vaccinated and non-vaccinated

The British government has abandoned a plan to require people in England to present vaccination passports for crowded places such as nightclubs, Health Minister Jeddah Javid said on Sunday.

The British government had previously announced that the requirement would come into force at the end of the month, despite opposition from industry and some Conservative MPs.

However, Javid announced his abandonment of the plan because the government no longer considered it necessary given the current situation with Covid-19 and the acceleration of vaccination.

In the UK, more than 80% of the population over the age of 16 have received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine, and the government will soon announce whether to vaccinate adolescents aged 12-15.

Meanwhile, the Scottish government on Thursday decided to introduce vaccination passports for nightclub and music festival goers.
