Lily Collins to briefly play opposite Brigitte Macron in season 4 of “Emily in Paris”
ENTERTAINMENT – Brigitte in Netflix. After having only been mentioned in the very first season ofEmily in ParisBrigitte Macron will indeed make an appearance. The end of the 4th season of the Netflix series which follows the daily life of a young American woman in Paris (and elsewhere) will be online on Thursday, September 12. And there will be a cameo of choice, in the person of the First Lady.
The magazine Elle exclusively revealed the very first photo from the filming of this scene involving Brigitte Macron, Lily Collins and Thallia Besson (who plays the agency’s new American recruit). In the image, we can see the three women in a Parisian café taking a selfie.
As the magazine reveals, the filming of this very short scene with the President’s wife lasted less than an hour and took place last April, well before the political sequence of the summer.
Still according to our colleagues, in the episode in question, which will be online this Thursday, Brigitte Macron, a former French and drama teacher, plays her own role, that of the wife of the President of the Republic. The First Lady would have played in front of the Netflix cameras in her own clothes.
Actress Lily Collins opened up about this surprising cameo, the genesis of which dates back to the very first season of Darren Star’s series, in 2022. The director and the actress had met Brigitte Macron at the time. She’s a huge fan of the show and took the reference to her character in season 1 with great humor. This scene in season 4 is a nod, and filming with her was both an honor and a real pleasure.” explained Lily Collins. Elle also claims that Brigitte Macron has watched the first three seasons of the series in their entirety, and that the President has even already taken a look at it.
In the second part of season 4 of the series, Emily will go to Rome for a new professional adventure (and more if you like) and will take a selfie with Brigitte Macron, while Mindy will deal with her Eurovision problem, and Gabriel and Camille will be confronted with the subject of “baby”. Shall we raise the curtain?
