On July 24, at about 6:00 pm, in the village of Elekmonar, near house No. 83 on Sovetskaya Street, a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 hit a pedestrian, a resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The 30-year-old victim was walking along the side of the road in the direction of the car. With the received injuries, the woman was hospitalized in a regional hospital.
The driver of the foreign car fled from the scene, but the police found his whereabouts quickly enough.
It turned out that a 33-year-old resident of the Altai Territory was driving the car. He sat behind the wheel of an SUV, being deprived of the right to drive vehicles, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Altai Republic reports.
An administrative investigation is being carried out into the accident. In relation to the culprit of the incident, administrative materials were drawn up under Part 2 of Art. 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a driver deprived of the right to drive) and Part 2 of Art. 12.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (leaving by the driver, in violation of the Traffic Rules, the scene of a traffic accident, of which he was a participant).
