In the Egyptian resort of Hurghada, a shark attacked a girl and bit off her arm and leg. This was announced on Friday, July 1, according to the Baza Telegram channel.
As indicated, the tourist is an Austrian citizen. After the attack, she was rushed to the hospital.
According to media reports, the incident occurred near the resort of Sahl Hasheesh. The girl was pulled ashore and handed over to the doctors. According to unconfirmed reports, the victim died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, the authorities banned all water activities from the Sahl Hasheesh area to Makadi Bay for three days.
Recall that in October 2020, a citizen of Ukraine and her 12-year-old son were victims of a shark attack in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. The mother received deep bite wounds. The child lost part of his arm below the elbow.
