Five years ago, when they were commercial in wood-burning stoves, Michaël Papazyan and Benjamin Gibert decided to set up their own business. It log was born in the country of Saint-Brieuc and offers all types of firewood to individuals. Since the beginning of September 2022, the growing company has also opened a new store in Quévert, located at 16 rue du Jardin. “We offer firewood trading: traditional wood (beech, hornbeam, oak), compressed logs or even pellets,” explains Michaël Papazyan. Raw materials that managers buy mainly from Breton suppliers, “this is the case for our pellets”, specifies the co-manager, or more broadly French.
Quality and service
Here, despite the sharp increase in demand, the company has not had to deal with the shortage: “We always negotiate our volumes well in advance”, assures the company manager who, despite everything, recognizes “like everyone , to have been impacted by the rise in prices”. To complete the service, the goods ordered by the cubic meter or by the pallet for compressed wood are either picked up on site at the store or delivered to your home, “with storage”, specifies Michaël Papazyan who adds that in terms of quality, the firewood he sells “is steamed wood with a hydrometry of less than 20%”.
Anticipate your orders for the winter
Advice from the professional, think during this first quarter of next winter and place your orders fairly early in the season, to ensure that your order is received. While the Dinan agency is about to pick up its stride, the company, which delivers everywhere in Brittany but mainly in the Côtes-d’Armor, the north of Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan, could open a third agency, whose location remains secret. But that is the proof of its dynamism. “In addition to the products, we offer a welcome, service and advice to our customers,” adds the co-manager of Ça bûche, who currently employs five people.
The company is present this weekend on the living room of the habitat which takes place until this Sunday in Dinan, place René-Pléven.
