“We will not accept any sanctions, no layoffs. »The tone of Bruno Rick, representing the CGT des hospitaliers de Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) is closed.
Saturday September 11, 2021, at the call of the CGT and of Labor force, around forty people gathered in front of the Dieppe hospital to protest against the health pass imposed on caregivers from September 15.
Not against vaccination
As a reminder, people working at the hospital must, from this date, present a valid health pass where they will be laid off and deprived of salary.
It is difficult to quantify the number of colleagues who are threatened in France. This is between 1 and 2%. To give an idea, this represents nationally between 10,000 and 20,000 caregivers.
The trade unionist told the demonstrators that there was no question of discussing the vaccination.
“The government wants to push us to do it to divide us. We are in favor of vaccination with respect for everyone’s freedom, we do not accept the vaccination obligation and the penalties inherent in the latter. “
Patients sleep in the hallways
He also deplores these sanctions in a context of great difficulties for hospitals which are facing a shortage of important beds.
“We recently had several nights in Dieppe where around 20 patients had to sleep in the corridors for lack of beds. “
The September 11 rally was already the third since July 12, the date of the President of the Republic’s speech announcing the establishment of a health pass for caregivers. A new rally is scheduled for September 14.
