Since October, apprentices fromUFA André-Voisin, the apprenticeship training unit of Dieppe (Seine-Maritime), are introduced to video production and editing with Antoine Poidvin. They are apprentice mechanics, bodybuilders, electricians and they have decided to prepare, as part of their training, three-minute videos.
These present their profession and the principle of apprenticeship. “The objective of this approach is to inform young people at the end of college education and who hesitate in the choice of their orientation” explains in a press release the UFA André-Voisin.
Interdisciplinary project
This is an interdisciplinary project led by the students who had to list the needs, ask for quotes, write letters, then find themselves either behind the camera, or take the stage for the interviews and in the workshops.
They were introduced to the legislation on drone piloting and also participated in the assembly during which they discovered, for example, the secret of embedding images on a green background.
“With their words and through their testimonies and experiences,” young people highlight their passion and the advantages of training which combines theory and know-how and which promotes integration into the labor market. of skills and technical mastery, apprenticeship contributes to boosting the industrial and economic lungs of Dieppe and by extension, to the attractiveness of its territory. ”
Remote open doors
These videos are posted on social networks and on the establishment’s website. This work also finds a new echo with the health situation. Indeed, the open days of the Lycée Émulation dieppoise / UFA André-Voisin will be organized remotely at the end of March and the achievements can serve as a communication medium to help people discover the training center.
In addition, the apprentices of the vehicle maintenance sector with the car option, particularly invested in this project, will present their masterpiece as part of the national competition. “I film my training”.
This is a video competition to promote your training. The achievement of the young apprentices from Dieppe has indeed been selected for the official selections and within the framework of this competition, part of the appreciation of the film concerns the communication on this UFA project.
The results of the competition will take place from March 30, 2021 to Grand Rex of Paris.
