“Today we showed that in critical situations we can reach an agreement. I believe that if the spirit of agreement is preserved in the coming days of the remaining time of the mandate of this National Assembly and this agreement is deepened and concretized before the president, the time will not be the best the important factor,” he added.
“When we have an attitude of agreement, there will be no need to extend the time for early elections. Through the mechanisms of agreement, we can overcome the provocations against the real stability of the banking system,” said the DPS chairman.
Earlier, he called for all the power of the state to be activated in defense of the banking system. He called for urgent consultations with the participation of all political forces and expects each institution to assume its responsibility.
“However, I expect that in this situation everyone will take their responsibility and probably meetings will be initiated with all leaders of political forces, except for the specialized bodies of the Bulgarian state. I think we should be concerned about preserving macroeconomic stability – the most important element of which is the security of the banking system. It is very important that she does not become a victim of rumours. It is very important not to push things with rumors, that is why I expect talks, I expect all the power of the state to protect the banking system,” he stressed.
