In dialogue with Caracol Radio, former vice president Germán Vargas Lleras referred to the new legislature that began last week in Congress. For the leader of the Cambio Radical party, what happened last Thursday is for now an earthquake, but it could become an earthquake of unpredictable magnitude. “For now it’s just a tremor, but we’ll see what happens next week”said Vargas Lleras.
In the same way, the former vice president assured that there may be surprises in the election of the Senate’s boards of directors, especially in a period in which he assured that the Government arrives with an overloaded reform agenda.
In this sense, he indicated that the guarantees that a balanced debate is carried out, that the opposition forces are heard and that the independents will be in charge of these boards, which may not be headed by parliamentarians from the government coalition.
