The COC wants to sing even more this season of resumption of activity after a complicated period with the Covid. The club wants to imbue each player a little more, from the youngest to the oldest, with the soul of Colayrac. Marc Gélineau, vice-president after having been a very young player at the COC then returned to coach after a training interlude, clearly explained his vision to us.
“I came back for the love of the club. It was the club that trained me. I was in rugby school with Grégory Sudre who made a career out later. trained and I said to myself that one day we would have to help out. I was called and I said banco because I knew where I was going. I came back to the COC to coach for four seasons. “
The former scrum-half admits that this period was more or less convincing in terms of results, but the group then knew how to adapt. “This club of the CO colayracais, I have it a little in the guts and the veins. That is sure, I think just like the leaders, the educators, the volunteers. Our blood is red and blue”.
Gélineau is a hard worker with Presidents Antonioli and Roux. “Today to see the COC come back to life, even if we sweat, to see a rugby school, cadets, juniors, two senior teams relive – we lack a workforce of cadets – knowing the difficulties that other clubs encounter and to see that in Colayrac we are there, frankly, it is a great pride. It is a responsibility for us. Nothing is easy: the grounds, the locker rooms, the shirts, the sponsorship, the “who” going to do what “, the kitchen to be done from Thursday to Sunday. All this requires an organization”.
Gélineau is a philosopher and sees the glass half full. “All this, we must not take it as a problem but as an advantage. There will be hiccups, we know it, but what we are going to achieve, we are going to do well. We have an incredible chance and it We must congratulate our presidents because we have Rémy Vaquin with us. He likes the club as we like it with this parochial spirit. Rémy will bring us structure. It will make us grow because we need it. “
